Lisa, Claudia,and Roy arrived at the airfield. There was already a huge crowded the at had gathered. After parking the car they headed the the check point. As they got closer a short chubby man walked up to them.

“Are you Lisa Hayes and the Fokker Family?” Her asked in a raspy voice.

“Yes we are.” Roy responded.

“Well good then theses are yours. If you will follow me to you seats.” The man said handing the VIP passes.

“Where these come form?” Roy asked with a puzzled look on his face.

“Compliments of Mr Hunter. He want to make sure you got to get the best view of the show.”

he said.

Lisa and Claudia just look at each other in amazement. Claudia hope that this gesture would make Lisa change her mind on her revenge toward Rick. She just watched Lisa as she look at the passes. Roy noticed the look on Claudia and Lisa face and wondered what was going on between them.

Lisa started to have second thought about making Rick pay for her pain. Especially when she read the note that Rick put with her. It wasn't much but his word tore at her heart. How could she be so mad at him with words like that.

Lisa,

I hope you get this. I missed you and I hope that you can forgive

me for the nasties things I said, and for leaving with out telling you.

I have so much to tell you.

Thats all the note said but it was the nice thing that he ever gave her. He remembered the fight and he was trying to apologize for it. Lisa knew in her heart that she could never stay made at him for to long. Almost ten years was along time to be mad at him. Claudia was right she needed to for give him. Because when all was said and done she was still in love with him

Lisa just smiled at the Rick's offering. Claudia saw Lisa smiling and the note in her hand. She figured it was from Rick. At least she hoped so. They followed the man to there seats. When they got there Miriya was already there with Baby Danna. When Danna saw Lisa she was reaching out for her. Lisa gladly pick her up and gave her a big hug. Just as she was doing so Max walked up the steps, and Danna piratically jump out of Lisa arms for her Dad.

“Hey Max” said Lisa giving Danna to him.

“Hello Lisa.” Max said

“Listen I want to say I am sorry for my foul mood yesterday.” Lisa asked.

“Lisa don't worry about it. I know seeing Rick again brought back some hurt feeling. I should be the saying I am sorry for doing that to you. I wasn't thinking.” Max paused then continued. “Beside I had a long talk with Rick this morning. I told him how he hurt everyone be leaving like that. Especially you. He was very upset that he hurt everyone.”

“By the way where is the stupid idiot at? I got a few words for him to.” Roy asked.

“ROY!” Exclaimed Claudia.

“What. I ought to go kick his butt for making everyone worry about him like that.”

“I think Rick feels bad enof with out you doing something like that. Besides I dought you could take him any more he has changed a lot.” Max said.

“Yes he is a lot stronger then before.” Miriya piped in.

“Any way he is over by his plane getting it ready for his performance.” Max said

Lisa started looking for him. She could not see him at all. But before she could say anything Roy piped up.

“And where is that?” Roy asked.

“Over there between those two tents.” Max said while pointing in the direction where Rick was.

“I don't see him.” Said Miriya.

Lisa spotted Rick right away. It was defiantly Rick. He was wearing that black flight suite that she saw him in on TV. Everyone else gave up on looking for him. But Lisa never took her eyes from his direction. She just watched him as he was doing is finale walk around.

The show started and all sort of aircraft from civilian stunt pilots to RDF display teams where preforming. Yet Lisa saw none of it. Since she had spotted Rick her eyes never left him. Even if she could not see him Just looking at his plane was enof for her. That is until she was able to see him face to face. Claudia noticed Lisa intense look on her face.

“Hey Lisa....LISA.” Yelled Claudia

“WHAT!” Lisa snapped.

“Don't bite my head off. What are you staring at?” Claudia paused. “You see Rick don't you.”

Lisa only nodded yes,and Claudia got worried. She was wondering what Lisa was thinking. She noticed that her mood had changed fro anger to saddens after Lisa got Ricks note. Claudia hope that Lisa had given up on getting back at Rick. From what she could tell Rick felt bad enof about what happened. He didn't need Lisa making him feel worse.

Then Claudia notice the look in Lisa eyes. There was no more hatred for Rick there any more but something else. They had the same look that was there when they where back on the SDF-1. They had a look of a woman in love. Claudia put her had on Lisa shoulder for comfort.

“Soon sweetie very soon.” Claudia tried to reassure her.

“Not soon enof to be so close but yet so far from him is killing me.” Lisa said sadly.

“So I take it that you have finally forgiven him?” Claudia asked

Lisa just nodded and continued to watch him. Claudia was glad that Lisa came to her senses. There must have been something special in that note he gave her.

It was Rick turn to head out to the end of the runway. During his preflight there was a weird felling like he was being watched. Rick climbed into the cockpit. He started the engine start sequence and brought the two engined in his F-18 to life. The booms from the igniter box caching made everyone around jump. He moved the controls to there stops and when everything was to his satisfaction he gave the marshaler a the signal that he was ready to go.

He push the throttles forward and his plane started to move forward slowly. Rick followed the taxi plan the was layed out in the morning meeting. It brought all the planes right in front on the crowds for pictures. Rick left the canopy up so he could wave at everyone. As he past the grand stands he spotted Max and his Family and Roy and Claudia. There was no sign of Lisa. This upset Rick. He really hoped that she would come.

When the announcer called his name he saw her stand up. Rick's heart about jumped out of his chest it was beating so fast. She was beautiful more then he remembered. That blue sweeter was very revealing well at lest form his vantage. For a second he thought he was dreaming. Then Rick switch his mic to the sound coordinator.

“Hey Lee change of plans switch the song to Dreams by Van Halen for me.” Rick asked him.

“Why? You know Sam hates it when we change the show around.” Lee said

“Just don't and tell the announcer to say this.” Rick said and told Lee what to say.

“Right I see your point. I will get it done.” Lee told Rick.

Rick made it out to the end of the runway do one more systems check and called the air boss for permission to takeoff. The Air boss gave Rick the green light. Over the PA the announcer said what Rick asked Lee to tell him. Rick hoped that she would understand the meaning of the song he picked.

“Lady's and gentleman coming form you left. Rick Hunter in the F-18/F Super Hornet, The Jolly Roger. Rick has dedicated this performance to a very special lady in the crowed. He hopes that you will forgive him and give him another chance. So watch his areal ballet and listen to the music.” Said the announcer.

The announcer tried to continue but the sound of Rick afterburners during his takeoff drowned him out. Lisa didn't need to hear the rest she know that Rick was talking to her. Her heart skipped when the music came on. All she did was watch him as Rick did a dance for her in the air to the music. She started crying while she watched Rick. Claudia notice her friend in fact all of them did. The girls come up to Lisa and hugged her. Lisa didn't know how to react to this sweet gesture to her form Rick. Once again Rick was trying to say he was sorry and this time he did it publicly.

Ricks performance was flawless. Every maneuver was just what he wanted. During the sole guitar parts Rick made several high speed passes and Lisa could swear that he was looking at her.

After five minutes in the air Rick performance was over with and he was setting up to land. Lisa was so embarrassed that she ran to the restroom. She had to dry here eyes. She didn't want to she Rick with her eye all puffy and red. Lisa was no longer mad at Rick.

Rick taxied to his parking spot and shut down the aircraft. He laid his helmet on the wind screen in front of him and climbed out of the jet. He did his post flight and then headed over to the meet and great area of the show. There he signed posters of him and his jet for the kids. They where surrounding him.

That was one part of the show that Rick enjoyed was meeting all the kids. He wished that one day that he would one of his own to take with him in the air, but right now that was only a dream. Flying was is life now and there was no time for a family with the show schedule. Beside he need to have someone first.

Rick looked up from. the kids and noticed Max standing off to the side with Danna in his arms. He finished signing the last poster then walked over to his friend. When he was close Danna reached for Rick. Rick was happy to take Danna. He held her as they walked over to the VIP area.

“Pane pane.” Danna said in her little voice.

“Yes big plane isn't sweetie.” Rick said smiling again think about what it would like to have a child of his own and bring it to the shows. He hoped it would love flying as much as he did.

“Well Rick that was some great flying. I didn't think those older fighter could pull off those kind of moves.” Max said with excitement in his voice.

“These older aircraft can do more then most pilot today give them credit for. Or did you forget that I took out two Zentraedi fighters with that old fighter.” Rick said smirking.

“No I didn't forget. Come on the gang here and wants to see you.” Max told Rick

When Max told him that his first thought was of Lisa when he saw her in the stands looking so radiant. Rick was worried also how Roy was going to reacted when they saw each other. Rick followed Max as they headed to the stands with Danna still in his arms. She was looking all over the place at all the different aircraft that where around on static display. When the performers flow over head she almost made Rick drop her several times, but Rick didn't care. Just holding this little girl brought him joy.

When they got to the stands Rick gave Danna to Miriya so he could hug Claudia and Roy. Roy had given Rick a dirty look at first but it quickly went away. Rick thought for sure that Roy was going to deck him.

“Claudia you look absolutely radiant. I glad you made an honest man out of my brother.” Rick said as he gave her a kiss on the cheek.

“ Thanks. Rick it great to see you again.” Claudia said.

“Come here you idiot. What where you thinking taking off like that. I ought to kick your butt for making us worry.” Roy said laughing and hugging Rick.

“ Sorry Roy. It won't happen again I promise.”

“ Good welcome home.” Roy said

“ That was a great show you did up there. I know you where good Rick but that was just beautiful.” Miriya said.

“Thanks Miriya. Coming form you that means a lot.” Rick told her.

“It was so beautiful flying that you had one of us balling her eyes out over it.” Claudia said

“ Speaking of Lisa where is she. I know she was here that why I changed the song and the show. I want to see her. Or did she leave because she is pissed at me for leaving.”

“She was for along time but I think she has forgiven you know.” Roy said sternly.

“She went to dry her eyes. She didn't want to see you all puffy eyed.” Claudia said and giving Roy a dirty look

Rick was about to say something else but a then a female voice came from behind him all innocent and shy sounding. Rick felt his breathing and heart beat quicken at the sound of her voice. He was sure that Lisa would never speak to him again. Rick spun around and there she was. Her emerald eye where red from crying during his performance. Just like all those years ago Rick was instantly drawn into them and was lost.

“Hi Rick how you been?” Lisa said.

Lisa stared at him with baited breath. Her heart was racing. Lisa forgot how gorgeous his eyes where. They where a beautiful baby blues. Rick was a lot more muscular then she remembered.. He look like a Greek god to her. Lisa shook her head trying to get those thought out of her head but it was no good.

“I am good. How have you been?” Rick said.

“I am better now. Thanks you for the show it was beautiful. It was also the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me.” Lisa said.

“Just my way of saying sorry for hurting you. Please forgive me.” Rick said almost begging.

Lisa ran up the step to Rick and throw her arms around his neck and starting crying again. Rick warped his arms around her waist and held her tight.. Her smell was just like he remembered it. She smiled of vanilla and lavander. Lisa had her head buried in his chest and was sobbing.

Lisa held on to Rick tight not ever wanting to let go of him now that he was back She inhaled is sent as she buried her face in his chest. The smell of sweat and jet fuel never smelled so sweet to her. Lisa lifted her head out of his chest. Lisa looked into Ricks eye again she could see him asking for her forgiveness with his eyes. She went up on her tip toes and brought her face close to his. They touched noses. Rick chest was beating so hard that he thought for sure the whole airfield could hear it.

Lisa was so close to Rick's he could not stand it any more. With out any warning Rick kissed Lisa softly. They stayed kissing for awhile until they couldn't breath anymore. When they came up for air they just look into each other eyes. The rest of the group just watched them.

“I missed you Rick. Why did you leave with out saying good bye?” Lisa asked him with tears in her eyes.

“I had to. I am sorry that I hurt you. I was a fool. Please forgive me for everything I said before I left I didn't mean any of it.” Rick said still holding her.

“You hurt me but I forgave you a long time ago.” Lisa said knowing it was a lie.

Lisa was not about to tell him that she was hurting for almost ten years. This was a special moment and she was not going to ruin there reunion now. She was just happy that he was back. They could work out the rest later. Now they where just going to enjoy there company.
