Captain Hayes about fainted when she heard his voice over the speaker in her office. Lisa thought for sure it was a dream, but sure enof when Max had confirmed it for her. When he answered yes to Max question her heart started beating so fast that she thought it was going to jump out of her chest.

Lisa thought that he was gone forever and never to return to Macross. After the way he left with out telling anyone. Lisa was mad at him for a long time and part of her was glad he left. She was also happy that he was gone. Cause it made her life and her work so much easier. Now he was returning to Macross City for the anniversary celebration.

“Why does that man have to come back. When I finally got everything in my life worked out.” Lisa thought to herself.

Part of Lisa wanted to run down to the tarmac and hug him and soon as he got of his plane. Yet another part wanted to go down there and kick his ass for not saying good bye. She thought that they had a better relationship then that. Lisa train of thought was broken by the knock at her door. She really didn't want to be disturbed but being the base Commander she knew she had to answer the door.

“Come in” She said.

“Hey Lisa. Did you here the com. If I am not mistaken that Ricks voice.” Claudia said smiling when she came throw the door.

“It sure sounds like him but then again it could be someone else. Beside I could care less after what he did back then.” Lisa said in a cold tone.

“Come on Lisa don't try to fool me or yourself like that. You know as well as I do that is Rick. He coming home. Beside that was almost ten years ago. You need to forget and for give.” Said Claudia.

Lisa just could not do that right now she was to mad. Mad at Rick for putting her threw all he did after he left. Claudia was about to say something to her but was interrupted. It was Lisa ad over the intercom.

“Captain Hayes. Lt Sterling is on the line and wants to talk with you.” said Lisa ad.

“Right. Put it throw here.” Lisa ordered.

“ Yes Ma ma.”

A few seconds later Max face appeared on the screen on her desk had a huge smile on his face. Lisa knew what this was about. She really didn't want to talk about it. Unfortunately she had no choice.

“Go ahead Max what is is?” Lisa asked.

“Captain you are not going to believe who I got up here with me.” said Max still smiling for ear to ear.

“I think I know Max but who?” Lisa asked. Not really wanting to here the answer.

“Well see for your self.” Max said..

Max switched his camera to an outside view. Lisa gasped in shock, but also contempt. She know buy the mans profile that it was Rick. He looked a little older but it was him. He had a goatee, but she know for sure it was him. She felt like screaming and throwing something at the screen.

“Lisa tell everyone he coming home. See if you all can make it to my place later. So stop by and welcome him home. OK.” Max said with excitement in his voice.

Lisa didn't answer she was lost in thought and shocked from seeing him again. The more she saw him the madder she got at him. Yet there was this longing for him and she hated that. Claudia noticed that Lisa was just sitting there so she stepped in for Lisa.

“ Will do Max. I will make sure I let everyone know. Base out.” Claudia said. Then switched Lisa screen off.

Claudia looked back to her friend she was just sitting there stairing off in space. Lisa was remembering the last time that she saw Rick. The day when he left her and the military behind. They had gotten into another fight. They had both said thing real nasty thing to each other. By the end of the fight Rick swore that he would never speak to her again outside of work.

Lisa was very hurt when Rick told her that. She had thought that thing for them where changing. Well at least Lisa thought they where becoming friends. After the fight tho everything changed. Then twenty four hour later he was gone with out a trace. Just his resignation was all that was left of him the next morning.

At first Lisa was made then she cried for days. Her friends where all worried about her. It had taken almost six month for her to get past Rick leavening, and now all those felling where coming back. Lisa hated him for making her feel that way again. She was going to make him pay for it to. She just didn't know how yet.

“Lisa......Lisa honey.” Claudia said shacking her.

Lisa just looked up at her friend in a blank stair. She was still plotting how to get Rick back for the way that he hurt her.

“Honey you alright.” Claudia asked seeing the look on Lisa face .

“He coming back. I cant believe it. He coming home. Why does he have to come back now? Why?” was all Lisa said.

“ Lisa its going to be alright.” Claudia said but was concerned by Lisa tone.

“Yea it going to be fine alright. You will see.” Lisa said with that evil look in her eyes that made the pilot on base jump.

“ Lisa what are you planning to do. I know that look it does not look good.” Claudia said worried.

“You will see Claudia you will see.” Lisa said.

“Don't do something you are going to regret Lisa. It will only hurt you more that it will hurt him. Trust me I know.” Claudia said now with concern.

“ Claudia don't worry so much.” Lisa said “I am just going to make him pay a little they way he hurt me back then.”

“Lisa please for your own sack don't do it.” Claudia said pleading.

It was no good Lisa was off in another world again. No matter what Claudia said was not getting threw to her. She felt for her friend. Lisa had gone threw so much hurting when Rick left. No matter what Claudia tried to get to her to admit to it. She know that Lisa was in love with Rick and had been for a while. That why Rick leaving hurt her so much.

Claudia left Lisa in her office brewing over Rick. She just hoped that Lisa would not do something to drive Rick away for good.

“Lisa Hayes you are still in love with him and I hope you don't ruin that.” Claudia said to herself as she left her office

That night Lisa could not sleep. She was think again about the last time that Rick and her where together. The more she thought about the madder she got. The fight they had was the worst one they had ever had. Rick really hurt her bad by what he said to her. Lisa finally fell asleep and dreamed of Rick. She woke up in the middle of the night upset by her dreams of him.

The next morning Lisa got up early and took a shower. She was standing in her closet with her robe on trying to figure out what to ware. It was a cool spring morning. So Lisa decided to put on some jeans and a nice blue V neck sweater. Lisa was bond and determined to make Rick pay for leaving. She figured out how to make him pay. Lisa was going to show him what he missed all this time he was gone. She was going to make him regret ever leaving.

When she was done getting dressed. She went to the kitchen and turn on the TV and made some breakfast while she waited to go. The air show was today,and Lisa,Claudia, Roy, Max, and Miriya where going to the show. That is where she was going to make Rick pay.

The news was on and the reported was talking about the air show. She was not really paying attention to the TV. Then she was stooped dead in her track's when she heard Rick voice on the TV. Lisa slowly turn to the TV and there he was standing by the reporter.

Rick had his flight suite on. It was all black with several patches on it. Lisa could not but help admire Rick in his flight suite. He always looked good to her in his flight suite. This one looked even better then the one he had when he was in th RDF. Black looked good on Rick. He had a few more age lines on his face and his goatee made him look even sexier. Lisa shook her head trying to clear her mind of these thought She was mad at him.

“Well it going to be a nice time here for the show and with me is Rick Hunter a former RDF pilot but is now one of the stars of the air show circuit.” Said the Reporter.

Lisa just sat down at the kitchen table and just watched the TV. After a few minutes her phone rang. With out her eyes leaving the TV Lisa got up and went to get the phone.

“ H......Hello.... Yes I see him on TV. I forgot how handsome he looks in his flight suit.”Lisa said with out thinking. “Ok see you in a few minutes then.” Lisa hung up the phone, and continued watching the TV

“So Rick what you got in store for us today?” The reporter asked Rick

“ Well as you can see” Rick said looking around. “We have a larger selection of aircraft both new and old here today. There are a lot of civilian and military aircraft to look at. So as you can see there is anof here to see and do. Plenty of fun to be had by the whole family.”

“Well we are all glad that you and your show team could come to Macross and help us with the celebration.” said the reporter.

“Well it an honor to be here on the tenth anniversary of the end of the War. It going to be fun so everyone come down and have a good time.”

“OK then thanks for taking a second to speak with us, and we can't wait to see what you got in store for us today.”

“Well you all will have to wait and see. You never know what I might do. Thanks.” Rick said.

The camera went off of Rick and just focused on the reporter. Lisa could see Rick walking off in the back round. Then door bell rang and Lisa got up and turn off the TV. She grabbed her things and headed out the door. She was greeted at the door by Claudia.

“Hey Claudia” Lisa said as she opened her door.

“Are you ready to go?” Claudia said

“Yep all ready to go.” Lisa said smirking.

“You not going to do something to embarrass your self to day are you?”Claudia asked with a worried look on her face.

“Don't worry Claudia. You know me better then that. I am not going to embarrass myself in public.”

Claudia didn't look convinced by Lisa. She know Lisa was planning something but she didn't know what. That worried her. As they neared the car Roy was waiting in the driver seat. He leaned his head out and whistled at Lisa. Lisa blushed at what Roy did. Claudia gave him an evil eye. The girl got into the car and the group headed to the airfield.

“Lisa you are a knock out. If Rick doesn't notice you now the boys blind.” Roy joked.

Claudia just punched him in the are. Roy had no idea what Lisa told him the other day. She didn't tell Roy about there conversation.

“What I say?” Roy exclaim rubbing his arm where Claudia hit him.

Claudia just gave Roy an dark look. Roy did not force the issue. He knew better when Claudia gave him that look. The three of them just rode in silence on the way to the field.

Max and Rick made it to the airfield early. Miriya told them to go ahead. She had to get Danna ready and she know that Rick had a lot to do. Rick told her that when she got to the gate to have them people take her to the VIP area. Rick had called Sam the owner and got VIP passed for his friends. He even got one for Lisa but he was sure that she would not come, but he hoped she would come.

After t he got there Rick had a TV interview that he had to do. He had become the spoke person for the show. The interview went better the he thought it would. Which was good. After that he took Max around and introduced him to some of his friends and the other air show performers. Then he showed Max his bird. The shows ground crews had pulled off all the missiles that where on it the other day. Max could tell that Rick was very proud of his aircraft. It showed when Rick was showing Max the F-18.

They continued to talk why Rick got the aircraft ready to go. Rick liked to do all the maintenance himself. So there where no ground crew around his aircraft. As show time got closer Max had to leave the performance area. Only performers where aloud on this side of the fence after the show started.

“Alright Rick have a good show and we will meet up with everyone else when your done.” Max said and shock Rick hand.

“Thanks Max see you when I am done” Rick said

Max walked over to the grand stands and the VIP area. When he got there his with and little girl was already there. Max hoped for Rick sack the everyone else would show up. Especially Lisa, but he was not going to get his hopes up.
