fanfic = The next morning, Azzedy woke up and felt a bit groggy. The first thing on his mind was Jennifer’s smile. He took a quick shower and headed for the mess hall for breakfast. He was picking some food from the counter when he felt two arms around his neck giving him a warm loving hug from behind. “Good morning Lieutenant.” Azzedy could notice that voice anywhere. “Now what was that for?” He asked sarcastically while turning around to face her and putting his arms around her waist. “I just felt like it.” She answered with a smile. Azrul and Alphonsus came in just in time when they saw the drama. “Get a room you too! There are people eating in here!”

Rizal went up to the SDF-1 to have an unofficial meet with the Captain. He was drove to the base by the troopers on duty. He was then asked to wait for the captain in the conference room. Moments later, the Captain arrived and to his surprised, Lisa was with him. Spontaneously, he stood in attention until he was asked to sit down. “I’m sorry for coming up here in such short notice Captain. But I came hear without the consent of the colonel. The reason I’m here is that on behalf of the pilots on board the SJS crew, I’d like to apologize to you for the words of our colonel.”

Captain Gloval sighed and smiled. “That’s alright captain. I understand his situation and the pressure he’s enduring right now.” Rizal cleared his throat before he continued. “Sir, once again, on behalf of my crew, we’d like to thank you for all you and your men have done for us. You’ve saved our lives more than one occasion. My men were grateful. I hope this won’t affect our friendship. If you don’t mind Captain, I’d like to return to my ship. The Captain nodded a yes and asked Lisa to escort their guest.

Before leaving, Rizal saluted the Captain. After the salute was returned, they stepped out of the room and headed towards the Hummer that he came in with. “Commander Hayes, if you don’t mind, can we have lunch before I go.” Lisa was surprised and raised an eyebrow. “Since you’re the guest I’m gonna have to accept your invitation captain.” Rizal was happy and they boarded the Hummer. Lisa asked the trooper to drop them off in town. Once they’ve reached there, she then ordered the trooper to pick them up in an hour.

They went to the nearest café and have their orders taken. While waiting, Rizal asked her what’s it like to live in space. She told him all the adventure they had and he was so amazed by the tale. While they were talking over lunch, at the same time, Rick went up to the bridge to ask Lisa out for lunch. When he got there, Claudia told him that she was with Captain Gloval to attend a meeting with the captain of the SJS. The moment he stepped out of the bridge, the Captain arrived in front of him. “Sir, could you tell me where I could find Commander Hayes sir?” The Captain tipped his hat trying to remember. “Oh yes, I asked her to accompany Captain Rizal. If she’s not back yet, then she still with him I suppose. Is there anything I can do for you Lieutenant Hunter?” Rick nodded a no, thanked the Captain and saluted before he went off. He was walking down from the bridge when the trio literally ran into him. Vanessa apologized to him. “Sorry sir. Kim and I were teasing Sammy and she was chasing us and I didn’t expect you to be there.” Rick laughed and fixed his uniform. “That’s ok. I’m going out for lunch. If you girl would like to join me I’d be glad to have some company.” Kim looked behind Rick and asked him. “Where’s Commander Hayes? She’s not coming along?” Rick shrugged his shoulder. They walked towards a café in town and came across Miriya who was buying groceries.

“Hei Miriya! Come join us for lunch.” Sammy yelled. Miriya took the offer and followed them. Once they’ve reached the café, miriya put the items down and sighed in relief. They sat down and ordered their food. “Where’s Max and Dana?” Came a question from Rick. “They were with Roy.” She answered. They ate and talked about the food and teased Rick about Lisa. Later, Sammy saw something that was unbelievable. “Isn’t that Captain Rizal?” She asked Kim. Then Vanessa added. “It’s him alright. But he’s sitting with Commander Hayes?” That really got Rick’s attention. Miriya knew what was in Rick’s mind. “Calm down Rick. She’s just accompanying our guest.” That was the only reason why Rick didn’t storm over their table. He saw them talking so close and when he saw Rizal held her hand into his on the table, it really bothers him. Once they’re done Rick paid for the food and left the place with the girls. The trio and Miriya were worried about what’s going on in Rick’s mind right now. Once they’ve reached the base, the trio thanked Rick before returning to the bridge while Miriya retuned to her quarters. Before they parted, Miriya gave him some advice. “Rick, take it easy. Have a slow talk with her. We don’t have any reason to get upset just yet. Just keep it cool and thanks for the lunch.” She smiled before heading towards her quarters.

Rick returned to the bridge door and waited for Lisa there. At the café, the two new friends were about to end their meeting. “Lisa, I don’t how to tell you this but I like you a lot. Ever since I’ve laid my eyes on you I’ve felt different.” He was still holding her hand but Lisa released it gently. “Rizal, I can’t. You’re a wonderful person I can’t. I’ve somebody in my life already.” Rizal looked disappointed and ashamed of himself for acting like that. “I’m sorry. It’s just that ever since I was promoted to a captain, my relationship with Sheila, our navigation officer has never been good.” Lisa smiled and patted his shoulder. “I was like you until Rick had to try like a thousand times. As the matter of a fact, we were at each other’s throat almost everyday. I’m sure it’ll be fine for the two of you. Just go to her and tell her how you feel.” Rizal smiled and nodded to her suggestions. The trooper came just in time. Rizal paid for the lunch and they boarded the Hummer. Once they’ve reached the docking area, they shook hands and saluted each other before parting.

Minutes later, she arrived at the base. She was surprised to see Rick in front of the bridge. “Hi Rick. What’s up?” He looked up at her and folded his arms in front of his chest. “How’s your lunch with Captain Rizal?” Lisa smiled and laughed when she heard what he said. She approached him and gave him a short passionate kiss and explained every single detail they’ve talked about to him. He was pleased with the explanation. “Since we’ve missed lunch, how about dinner?” Lisa smirked to his answer and nodded a yes. Rick went off to the flight deck to get ready for his patrol runs while Lisa entered the bridge. As soon as they entered the bridge, everyone looked at her. “Did you see to it that our guest’s departure was taken care of Commander Hayes?” Came a question from the Captain. “Yes sir. Everything was taken care off.” Before she reached her controls, the Captain added another question. “Lieutenant Hunter was here and he was looking for you. You should take care of that too if you have the time.” Everyone laughed at her and Lisa blushed a little.
