Fanfic: Months had passed since the end of the Robotech war. The SDF-1 stood in the middle of the manmade lake named Lake Gloval, which is now surrounded by the newly reconstructed Macross City. Captain Gloval got promoted to Admiral. The rest of the key personnel of the SDF-1 were promoted for their outstanding performance during the war. They’re job now is to help the citizens to rebuild their lives while the RDF pilots however were still doing their patrol flights as they’ve been receiving some reports of renegade Zentreadi forces. 
Commander Chase received some reports of renegade Zentreadis were raiding some towns for food and supplies. She had sent Jack to check out the Ambush Hills and destroy the Renegade Zentreadi’s ammunition supplies so that they won’t impose any threat without their weapons. She then ordered Azzedy, Jennifer and fellow Wolf squadron member Allen Blair to patrol the wasteland to see any signs of Zentreadi activity. 
“It’s kinda peaceful out here don’t you think? I wonder if there were any plans of developing this part of the planet.” Jennifer was looking at the wasteland below them and thought about her husband’s words when Allen informed them to check their scanners. “This is Wolf 6 calling Base 6. We have an inbound. Multiple bogeys and they’re heading towards us.” Commander Chase came on their tech channels ordering them to check it out. “And if the bogeys act hostile, you have my full permission to retaliate.” They understood their orders and flew towards the bogeys’ location. When they got there, a dozen of fighter pods fired upon them. They broke formation and engaged the enemies. 
Azzedy switched to battloid mode as he needed more maneuverability to shoot down the fighters as they passed him by. Jennifer stayed in her fighter mode and managed to scrape four of it. She was aiming for another one when she saw Allen was being chased down by two fighter pods. “Eddy, Allen’s in trouble. I’m going after her.” She broke off her target and went to rescue her friend. She used her multiple targeting system and took out both of it at once. “Thanks Jenny.” “No prob.” They continued to clear out the remaining fighters and picked up another large signal on their scanners. “Wolf 6 to base. All bogeys had been eliminated but we’re picking up a large signal up ahead. Permission to check it out?” “Permission granted.” 
They punched their thrusters to see what’s up ahead. To their surprise, a Zentreadi scout ship emerges from one of the crater. Allen knew what to do and led the Azhars to attack the Scout ship. Allen went on top to take out the main radar while Azzedy and Jennifer went for the main engines. Allen switched to battloid mode and was shooting the radar with her gun pod when two laser turrets emerges behind her and blasted her veritech into pieces. 
Azzedy tried to contact her but all he got was static. “Jenny, can you get Allen?” “No. All I’m getting is static. Wait.” She circled the top of the scout ship while evading the laser from the on board turrets, she saw bits and pieces of the veritech lying on the deck. “Eddy, I think we won’t be able to hear from her at all. 
Azzedy knew the looks on her face and asked her to take out the ship’s engine with their heavy missiles but it has to be simultaneously. They made a big turn before taking a lock on the main engine. At the same time, they were evading the lasers fired by the ships turrets. It was difficult to lock on to the target. One of the laser bolts caught some of his fuselage. Jennifer saw it and was concerned about him. “Eddy, you okay?!” “I’m fine. Firing the missiles on three. THREE!” They released the missiles and it was a direct hit and the scout ship exploded upon crashing down to earth 
“Base this is Wolf 12. All threats disabled.” “Copy that Wolf 12. Where’s Wolf 6?” Azzedy sighed and looked at the tech channel. “She’s gone ma’am.” “I see. Both of you may return to base.” “Yes ma’am.” Jennifer positioned her fighter by his and came on his tech channel. “Are you sure you’re okay? We can drop by the infirmary after this” “I’m okay. It’s just a scrape on the fuselage.” They punched their thrusters and headed towards Base 6. 
When the fighters had landed on the airfield, Jennifer hugged her husband tightly. “Now I don’t mind getting shot every day if I can have this after each of it.” Jennifer stepped back and pinched his cheeks. Moments later, Jack’s veritech was being taxi next to theirs. As soon as he climbed down, he saw the two pilots were embracing themselves. “I heard that we’ve lost Wolf 6. I was ambushed myself but was fortunately they weren't wearing their armour. It made it easier for me.” Azzedy patted him on the back as they walked away from the airfield towards the locker room to change into their uniforms before reporting in to Commander Chase.
